Autumn Colours Tour

There is no place on earth where Mother Nature paints a more beautiful autumn portrait than in Nova Scotia. A photographer’s wonderland…bright, crisp reds, fiery oranges, lustrous gold’s. Your tour will take you through southern New Brunswick, where you will witness the Reversing Falls in Saint John. From Saint John it is on to Hopewell Rocks. Located on the Bay of Fundy, where the highest tides in the world touch the shores, you will have the opportunity to walk on the ocean floor before the water returns to claim back its shoreline.

From New Brunswick you will travel through northern Nova Scotia to Cape Breton Island. The colours that you will see along the way are only small works of art. They do not compare with the masterpiece of the Cabot Trail. As you travel along the Trail, every turn will leave you breathless.

From Cape Breton Island it’s on to Halifax, the capital city of Nova Scotia. While in Halifax you will be taken on a historic tour of the city, as well as a trip to Grand Pre, one of the locations of the expulsion of the Acadians, and land of Evangeline, made famous by the poem written by Longfellow. Your last day in Nova Scotia will be spent traveling along the South Shore, having breakfast in Peggy’s Cove, wondering through the town of Lunenburg (an UNESCO World Heritage Site), Shelburne, and finally Yarmouth, where the next day you will board the Scotia Prince and sail across the Gulf of Maine to Portland.
